Flat and low-slope roofs need a different approach than pitched roofs. EPDM rubber membrane is the standard for them. It stays flexible in a New Hampshire winter, resists UV and ozone, and lasts 30 years or more.
Flat roofs fail at the details
We install fully-adhered and mechanically-fastened EPDM systems on additions, porches, garages and commercial buildings. On small roofs we can often lay one seamless sheet.
Flat roofs rarely fail in the middle of the membrane. They fail at seams, drains, edges and penetrations. We pay the most attention there: proper insulation, seam tape or adhesive, and careful flashing around every vent, drain and curb.
